I-Deal Docs

       document automation

             for Microsoft Word

Technical Information

I-Deal Docs requires Microsoft Word 97, 2000, XP, 2003 or 2007.

The installation of I-Deal Docs onto a user's computer can be as simple as the deployment of the following three items:

the program file IDEALDOCS.DLL, typically to the Windows\System32 directory

the Global Template IDEALDOCS.DOT to Word's StartUp directory

a single registry entry that I-Deal Docs uses to connect to your organisation-wide configuration database. The database holds such things as a Clause Library index and a Common Address list. The database itself is very small.

The other files that are required by I-Deal Docs are all Microsoft supplied, and would typically already be installed on most computers. The I-Deal Docs installation process will install any "missing" files.

Other than the disk space to install the above items, I-Deal Docs has no additional hardware requirements than those necessary to use Microsoft Word. It operates entirely within Word. All functions are accessed via the I-Deal Docs Toolbar in Word.
