Variables in Clauses

Clause library items can be setup to prompt for variable information that you will be asked to enter as the clause is being inserted into a document. For example, it would be common to have skeleton signature or execution blocks in your clause library and for those to be setup to automatically popup a small data entry window asking for the name of the entity. For a company Common Seal execution block you might have the following in your clause library:

When this clause is being inserted into a document, the presence of the “#idd” text within the clause will cause the following prompt to automatically appear:

The above example is prompting for a single line of text to be entered. Other styles of prompts can be created. For example, you could provide a list of choices from which you will select the appropriate one each time:
