Variables in clauses

Clause library items can be set up to prompt for variable information, which you will be asked to enter as the clause is inserted into a document or email. For example, it is common to include skeleton signature or execution blocks in your clause library and have them configured to automatically display a small data-entry window requesting details of the relevant entity.

For a company Common Seal execution block, you might include the following in your clause library:

When the above clause is inserted into a document, the presence of the text marked with {[ and ]} delimiters will automatically trigger the following prompt:
