Cross-referencing¶

The Cross-referencing tool allows you to:

• insert new cross-references – a replacement for Word’s built-in cross-referencing dialog with additional functionality. Cross-reference fields inserted here are identical to those inserted via Word’s cross-reference button, so both methods are fully compatible

• check existing cross-references – identify issues such as missing or invalid targets

• scan for hard-typed text – search for text that matches the pattern of a cross-reference so it can be replaced with proper cross-reference fields where appropriate.
